FAQs and Field Definitions
What Are FAQs and Field Definitions
This chapter summarizes frequently asked questions and the exact meanings of account, Budget, and card fields so you can find answers quickly without rereading earlier chapters.
Why This Quick Reference Is Useful
Amount fields across accounts, Budgets, and cards—such as Available Balance, Allocated Budget Limit, and Available to Spend—can be confusing. Consistent definitions and FAQs help you determine more quickly where funds went or why an operation is unavailable.
How to Use This Chapter
| Question | Resolution |
| Why can’t I create a card when the Sub Account has funds | Confirm that a Budget exists and your role has permission to create cards. Card creation uses the Budget Limit, not the Sub Account Available Balance directly. |
| Why can’t I increase the Budget Limit | Check the Sub Account Available Balance for the current currency and whether Frozen Amount or other Budgets have reserved funds. |
| Does “No Limit” on a Shared Limit Card mean unlimited spending | No. A Shared Limit Card has no separate Card Limit, but it remains subject to the Available to Spend of its associated Budget. |
| Why can’t I find the file after exporting | Go to the Task Center to view the export status; after completion, download it from the File Export List. |
| Why did API integration suddenly become inaccessible | Check the API Key status, IP allowlist, environment egress IP, and whether security settings were recently changed. |
