This page explains common core business terms used across ORBSIS.

Entity

An Entity is the top-level customer identity on the platform. It may represent a business or another organization that meets the platform's onboarding requirements.

After completing KYC / KYB verification, an Entity can open a Primary Account and manage Sub Accounts, Budgets, and VCC cards under it.

Primary Account

A Primary Account is the top-level fund account of an Entity on the platform.

Each Entity has one Primary Account. It is primarily used to:

• Receive top-ups
• Centrally manage the Entity's funds
• Allocate or transfer funds to Sub Accounts
• Review fund movements at the Entity level

A Primary Account can be associated with multiple Sub Accounts.

Sub Account

A Sub Account is a real fund account under a Primary Account. It is used to isolate funds by department, project, business line, or other business scenarios.

A Sub Account can:

• Receive funds from the Primary Account or other accounts
• Transfer funds to other accounts
• Allocate limits to downstream Budgets
• Manage Available Balance, Allocated Budget Limit, and Frozen Amount

The Sub Account itself does not directly hold detailed card spending records. Actual spending is managed at the Budget and VCC card layers.

Budget

A Budget is a logical control layer built on top of a Sub Account and does not hold actual funds itself.

A Budget is primarily used to:

• Define the total Budget Limit
• Manage Shared Cards and Limited Cards
• Control Available Limit
• Aggregate spending across associated VCC cards

Each Sub Account can have multiple Budgets, and each Budget can be associated with multiple VCC cards.

VCC Card

A VCC card is a virtual payment card provided by the platform and is the final instrument used for external payments.

VCC cards operate under a Budget and are commonly used for cross-border payments, advertising spend, SaaS subscriptions, and other business expenses.

VCC cards on the platform are mainly divided into:

• Shared Card: Does not have an independent Card Limit and shares the Available Limit of the associated Budget
• Limited Card: Has an independent Card Limit, which occupies the Utilized Limit of the associated Budget

Hierarchy

The core ORBSIS business hierarchy is:

Entity → Primary Account → Sub Account → Budget → VCC Card
