Business Portal Quick Start

If you use the Business Portal to manage your own business funds, Budgets, and virtual cards, follow the steps below to get started.

1. Complete Business Verification

If your business has not yet completed verification, submit the required business information and complete the review process first.

After verification is complete, account, funding, and card capabilities become available according to your platform configuration.

2. Review Your Primary Account

The Primary Account is the top-level fund account of your business.

Start by reviewing:

  • Primary Account status
  • Current fund position
  • Supported currencies and related account information

When additional funds are needed, use a top-up method supported by the platform to fund the Primary Account.

3. Create and Manage Sub Accounts

A Sub Account is a real fund account used to separate business funds by department, project, brand, or other operational needs.

After creating a Sub Account, you can transfer funds from the Primary Account into it.

Funds in a Sub Account can then be allocated to Budgets.

4. Create a Budget

A Budget is a logical control layer built on top of a Sub Account. It is not a separate fund account.

When creating a Budget, allocate a Budget Limit from the Sub Account's Available Balance.

After allocation, that amount becomes part of the Sub Account's Allocated Budget Limit and can be used to control spending capacity for virtual cards under the Budget.

5. Create Virtual Cards

Create VCC virtual cards under a Budget for external payments.

ORBSIS primarily supports:

  • Shared Cards: No independent Card Limit; they use the Available Limit of the associated Budget
  • Limited Cards: Have an independent Card Limit that occupies part of the associated Budget's Utilized Limit

Before creating cards, we recommend understanding how Shared Cards, Limited Cards, and Budget limits relate to one another.

6. Review Spending and Transactions

After cards are used, review transaction records for information such as:

  • Spending amount
  • Transaction status
  • Card information
  • Other transaction details

If you need to understand the difference between account fund movements and card transactions, see Core Concepts.

Business Verification → Fund Primary Account → Create Sub Account → Transfer Funds → Create Budget → Create Virtual Card → Make Payment → Review Transaction

After completing this flow, you will have worked through the core fund and payment lifecycle of the ORBSIS Business Portal.
