What Is Master Data Management​

Master data is shared by multiple business modules. An incorrect region code or Entity Type can affect customer onboarding, fees, card products, and transaction processing. Editing permissions should therefore be restricted and change records retained.

Why This Data Must Be Strictly Controlled​

Countries, regions, and Entity Types may look like basic settings, but they are shared by customer onboarding, billing, card products, and transaction processing. A wrong change can have cascading effects, so editing should be limited to a small number of people and clear change records should be retained for traceability.

How to Manage Regions and Entity Types​

Countries, Regions, and Administrative Divisions​

Country and region data is used for addresses, KYB, activity restrictions, and localization. Code fields are often referenced by integrations or historical data, so assess compatibility before changing them.

Entity Types​

Entity Types are used for KYB classification and material requirements. When adding or changing one, use a clear and stable name and confirm whether existing Entities will be affected.
